Splash of colour …….

December 5, 2009

I thought i would introduce a splash of colour to brighten up this winter day. Its raining outside and i wanted to remember what the summer was like. These photos, taken by my friend garden designer and expert photographer, capture just that!

The black heads of the dead flowers look like liquorice sweets, just lovely. I think this one was taken on an old Minolta, I know the one below was a polaroid and doesn’t it look sweet.

I love the summer, when all the trees are green and the flowers have bees and butterflies milling around. I really miss being able to sit outside and watch the nature in my garden. Smelling roses and taking cuttings of your favorite flowers to display in vases. Oh magic.

Still, that time will be here again soon, when all this rain clears of. Its nearly christmas too, not quite yet in the festive spirit, gotta put up the tree.

So enjoy the colour injection and lay back and think of summer!!!

Dreamy……

December 5, 2009

Another little snippet form Susannah Conway’s lovely blog. These delightful images capture a very romantic and dreamy atmosphere. Perfect.

She is a true master with the polaroid, I too have dabbled in this exciting yet laborious art form. I bought many polaroid cameras, including the Polasonic Autofocus 4000, wow, what a name that is. Such a shame that polaroid film is hard to come by these days and is quite expensive, but nether-the-less it is immensely fun! Have of the fun part is waiting to see if the picture you spent ages working on, came out just as you would like. Needless to say Susannah has the mastered the nack of it!! PURE MAGIC.
